Receive the gospel
Jesus died for our sins and rose again. Read 1 Corinthians 15:3–4 and Ephesians 2:8–9.
Begin with Jesus
The invitation comes first.
Following Jesus begins with the gospel: we have sinned, and Jesus Christ died for our sins and rose again. Turn to Him in repentance and faith. Salvation is His gift, not something we earn through study or effort. Read Romans 3:23–24, 1 Corinthians 15:3–4, and Ephesians 2:8–10.
“If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.”

You can speak honestly to God: confess your sin, ask for His mercy, and place your trust in Jesus. Then keep drawing near to Him through prayer, Scripture, and fellowship with other believers.
Become a disciple
Follow Jesus, one step at a time.
You do not need to have everything figured out before coming to Christ. Discipleship begins with trusting Him and continues as you learn to live in His Word.
The call to make disciples
“Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,”Matthew 28:19 · World English Bible
Jesus calls us to share the gospel and help others follow Him. In the next verse, He also tells His disciples to teach others to obey what He commanded (Matthew 28:20).
Turn to Jesus
Repent and believe the gospel (Mark 1:15). Speak honestly to Him and place your trust in Him. A prayer can express faith; the words themselves do not save.
Walk with Him
Read Scripture, pray, gather with believers, and learn obedience through the Holy Spirit. Ask about baptism and community (Acts 2:38–42).
Our foundation
We become rooted in Him.
These studies are an invitation to know Jesus, not simply to collect information about Him. We come to Scripture prayerfully, asking the Holy Spirit to help us understand and obey what God says.
Jesus tells His disciples, “without Me you can do nothing” (John 15:5). Every step of growth begins and continues in relationship with Him.
Believers in Jesus are His body, and the Holy Spirit dwells in us (1 Corinthians 12:27; 6:19). When we say “We Are the Church,” we mean that His people belong to Him and live out our faith together wherever He sends us. Grace for the Journey is a discipleship ministry, and we help people connect with a local congregation where they can worship, grow, and serve.

New to following Jesus or looking to grow? Bring your Bible and your questions. We study Scripture, pray together, encourage one another, and learn to follow Jesus in everyday life. We visit young people in juvenile facilities to pray, share Scripture, and build relationships. We step into their lives with care and consistency, walking out our faith together as we follow Jesus.
We are praying for doors to open so we can bring discipleship to young people in group homes as well. Wherever He leads, our desire is to be the hands and feet of Jesus: meeting real needs, pointing people to Christ, and walking with them as they return to their communities.
